Down Syndrome Alabama is hosting this seminar series on Behavior
for parents, family members, educators, healthcare professionals, employers, service providers
and advocacy organizations. 

... is a "Hot Topic" for everyone. national and local experts will present informative and helpful sessions throughout the day. Topics will address behavior at home, school, work, activities and within the community for individuals with Down syndrome, Autism, and other exceptionalities.

Changing behavior can seem overwhelming but it is important to know you are not alone. Come to this seminar series to learn about behavior solutions for the individuals you know with Down syndrome, Autism, and any exceptionality.

This seminar series will feature five very experienced, dynamic presenters.

Stacy Taylor, MA, BCBA, who operates both a therapy clinic and a fully inclusive elementary school in Florida. She is also the parent of a child with Down syndrome. She will present separately to parents/caregivers and educators/professionals. She will discuss the function of behaviors and how to increase desirable behaviors and decrease undesirable ones. She will give both parents and educators strategies for success in school
and at home.




Chelsia Massey, MS, BCBA graduated from Spalding University, Louisville, KY. in 2013, relocated to Birmingham and opened Thrive Behavioral Services, LLC. Chelsia works with children touched by all sorts of Special needs; Autism Spectrum Disorders, Neurological Disorders, Behavior Disorders, Down Syndrome, and Learning Disorders to name a few. Chelsia says. "I can't think of a more awesome line of work than what I get to do every day. I get to interact with some of the brightest children on the planet. I get to see the light bulbs go off in their little minds and the look that says " I finally get it"


William Richardson (Billy) Ed.S., BCBA has expertise and experience in both the public school system working as a School Psychologist and private practice providing behavior analytic services to both school districts and families. His skill sets and experiences enable him to provide a unique level of support and services to students with disabilities, their families, and the public school districts. He received his Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and his Masters and Education Specialist degrees in School Psychology from the University of Montana.
